Hinari, however, clearly knows what happened but is hiding the truth. Saikyo, Hinari and Shuri look for the medicine needed, but it seems to be missing. Shuri and Rin Rin at first demand Tanpopo go back to the village, but Tanpopo blackmails Rin Rin with something to make her change her mind. Tanpopo then jumps out from the box, confirming Shuri's suspicions. Shuri stops her and, though some clever persuation, gets Rin Rin and Touka to agree to help burn the box as it may contain an evil spirit.

Rin Rin says she found it outside her room before they left and figured it was full of food. Shuri is curious about the huge box Rin Rin is carrying. We see some light banter between Sei and Sui and then shift to Shuri, Rin Rin and Touka. Chojo comes by and seems to give Kaku some order, which she obeys without question. We find out this happened a year ago and Kaku is despondent because Kayuu apparently died in the fighting. They agree that retreat is the best option, but Kayuu goes out to help buy some time for them. We start with Kaku and Kayuu discussing a battle that's gone badly for Toutaku. 2 was a bit dull plot-wise, but amusing nonetheless. All in all, an amusing idea fairly well carried out.Įp. Yes, much tamer visual fanservice than other shows are getting into these days. But maybe I'll come back and watch some of this one again. I enjoyed about half of the first season of Koihime and then let it go. On the other hand, Honey & Clover was the most faithful adaptation I can remember, going almost frame by frame through its first season, and it was great.

In general, I think manga and anime are such different animals that a manga has to be adapted if it is to make a good anime. Either 52 episodes, or 26 episodes of 50 minutes each. It was scheduled for last fall but never made it.

NEWS: Moonphase says a version of this dubbed (or subtitled?) in Japanese (Sangoku Engi 三国演義) is supposed to start on Japanese TV at 9:30 am on Sunday April 4. That's a close adaptation that is still a good anime, at least as far as I've watched it. And for once it'd be nice to see anime that doesn't make too many changes to the source material.Try to find the 52-episode Chinese Three Kingdoms anime (Sanguo Yanyi 三国演义) that came out last year. And really, you mention historically accurate ones but barely any historical anime comes out of Japan so it's quite disappointing.Īnd for once it'd be nice to see anime that doesn't make too many changes to the source material. Genderbent Three Kingdoms could be hilarious in a funny way but damn it tone down the fanservice. If I wanted to see fanservice, I'd be browsing the internet looking for 'those sites' and going all the way. Were that more people would heed that saying and simply shut the hell up so the rest of us could enjoy our chosen entertainment in peace, but in this day and age no one can simply leave well enough alone especially on the Internet.Īll that said, I wonder which characters we'll be introduced to this season? Or what section of the story they'll explore this time? But most importantly, how far into the first episode will it be before we start getting fanservice and how badly will the censors be butchering it? :rolleyes:Īnd there's the other problem. There at least used to be the saying that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Detractors be damned they largely only post such vitriol because they want to get a rise out of others anyway. That's all that matters despite what those who'd consider themselves "critics" might say. If you enjoy a given series, then by all means enjoy it. Also believe me when I say I don't give a shit about any of that (at least not nearly as much as I used to), I dig it anyway.

And some don't like that it basically butchers its source material.īelieve me when I say that I get why people get pissy when it comes to this series and others like it. Some don't like how pandering and moe it is.

Some see it as inferior because it doesn't try to push any envelopes or create controversy. I love it.īTW, I actually enjoy Shin Koihime Musou.
